Puma Fishing operates in the CHILEAN PATAGONIA, and has its base in Continental Chiloé, where one can find one of the purest water systems in the world.

The lodge is located on the north bank of the Yelcho river, next to a steep mountain range, which is in a well protected area of the river where practically no one fishes.

The Lodge:
The Lodge has four spacious double rooms to accomodate eight fishermen in warm comfort. In the living room and dining room, there is also ample space to discuss the day's fishing of exciting browns, rainbows, salmon, and sea run browns.

There is one guided purpose made boat for every 2 anglers to take you to the 18 miles of river bank that we access on any given morning or evening. Casting from the boats into deep pools, offers good to hook trophy size browns. More than twenty long beaches and islands offer ideal settings to wade in fast currents, eddies and large pools.

The "PUMA" Boat:
The "PUMA", which was built by Chilean craftsmen in the finest woods, has been designed to accomodate 6 fishermen in three cabins; each with two single beds and private bathrooms. It also accomodates, in complete independance, a crew of five (expert "boteros", and your captain, which is an expert fly fisherman guide, that has fished this area all his life), and has a fully equiped galley where our cook will satisfy your every wish. Additionally the "Puma" carries four boats with small outboards.

The Fish:

The fishing is abundant in Rainbows, Browns, Sea Trouts and Brooke trouts, with lots of unspoiled wading spots.
